Meeting of Kazakhstan’s State Secretary with Youth and Sports Ministers of Turkic-Speaking States

Kazakhstan’s State Secretary Gulshara Abdykalikova met with Kazakhstan’s Minister of Public Development D. Kaletaev, Minister of Youth and Sports of Turkey M. Kasapoglu, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States B. Amreyev, Vice-Minister of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan I. Ismailov, and Director of Agency on Youth, Physical  Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan K.Amankulov.

During the meeting, the Secretary of State highlighted N.Nazarbayev’s words from the program article “The Seven Facets of the Great Steppe”, Kazakhstan, the ancestral homeland of the Turks is the sacred “Kara Shahirak”. From here, from our steppes, Turkic tribes and nations, who made a significant contribution to the historical processes in other countries and areas, went to different parts of the world.

- The Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States plays an important role in strengthening the idea of ​​solidarity and unity of the Turkic nations in the international arena, Gulshara Abdykalikova said.

Under the auspices of the CCTS, activities are being actively carried out in the field of supporting youth and sports. In April 2018, the first student games of Turkic-speaking countries took place in Baku, and the 3rd World Nomad Games in September, Cholpon-Ata  of Kyrgyzstan. In 2020, the 4th World Nomad Games are to be held in Turkey.

- The following year, declared the Year of Youth in Kazakhstan, is going to be active. This is a sign of special attention to the youth, its needs and concerns, and the future of Kazakhstan, the Secretary of State said.

In conclusion, the Secretary of State of Kazakhstan wished the meeting attendees success in further strengthening cooperation within the framework of the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States.
